History

Langdale Pre-School was established in 1975 by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul and based in Damascus House, now part of the newly developed site on St. Vincent's Lane. Langdale Playgroup, as it was then known grew in popularity and size throughout the 1970s and 80s on the old site of St. Vincent's Catholic Primary School.

Langdale Pre-School enjoys a close working partnership with St. Vincent's and moved to its current site within the school grounds in 2002 when the new building opened. Langdale enjoys a reputation for providing excellent experiences for children and fostering warm, supportive relationships with families. We are delighted that many past pupils are now returning as parents due to the such fond memories that they have of attending this truly unique pre-school.
